I find it enjoyable, but multiplayer shows some problems.

For starters, playing as a sniper with at least one as melee (be it siren or berserker) is a pain in the ass. Sure, there's no friendly fire, but they stop bullets all the same.

Second, the lobby has no text chat. You better have voice, or you're gonna need to alt tab to talk. In game there is a text chat, but it's horrible. It's aligned to the right, meaning each line starts at a different place plus it doesn't stay long on screen, so half of what you type gets read. There doesn't seem to be a console or anything to read past messages either.

Also bloody hell i'm a sniper why do i only get SMG ammo everywhere?

There's also the fact random weapons can end up being completely retarded. For example, you can get a sniper rifle with a high RoF... but still with the default 3 round magazine.

Also everything scales with the number or players apparently. With 3 players bosses were able to pretty much one shot us. One even did it to all 3 of us at once.

Oh my God I know. Jesus Christ Brick move your ass. Is a little situational awareness too much to ask? It's faster for you to strafe three steps to the left and open up a shot for me than it is for me to strafe thrice that just to get a sliver of an opening.

>Second, the lobby has no text chat. You better have voice, or you're gonna need to alt tab to talk. In game there is a text chat, but it's horrible. Even if you DO have a mic, you're probably not going to have reliable voice chat. Not being able to set the volume or sensitivity will kind of ruin that for you. What the fuck were they thinking not adding a chat window for the PC port, seriously? That's what, an extra four hours of development time or something? It's a fucking MULTIPLAYER GAME, shit like that is kind of important. There IS a way to get console in the game (editing one of the many .ini files. What is this? Dwarf Fortress?) but it only keeps a record of what you chat, not the entire chat log.

>Also bloody hell i'm a sniper why do i only get SMG ammo everywhere?
That actually gets better as you level when your carrying capacity increases. It's an awful, AWFUL way to introduce a new player to the game though. It only gets worse in multiplay, too. Hope you like absolutely hating your class selection for the first ten or twenty levels. The best advice I have to give a sniper is to get comfortable not snipin

The core gameplay is goo, but there are a lot of boneheaded design flaws that put a damper on the game experience. In addition to the problems with multiplayer already mentioned, there's the fact that the Field of View is optimized for consoles and there's no way to change it in-game without modifying some files. Same thing with mouse smoothing and Vsync. There's no way to skip the startup movies without modifying the game files, the menus are awfully clunky and obviously designed without the mouse in mind, and driving is awkward and designed without WASD in mind. Perhaps most egregiously of all, the screen that shows weapons' bonuses is often too small to display all the information about a gun.

The game's only been out on PC a few days, and already people have found fixes for most of these problems, but they can still cause problems and don't work 100% of the time. I'm hoping that a future official patch fixes these problems.

All that said, it's an awesome and addictive game and I've had a blast with it since it came out.

I agree with all those points, but other than an issue with connecting to a friend yesterday, I dont think it effects the gameplay too much.
It is at least still very enjoyable, and probbably one of the better games ive played.

I am now going to start posting some of my old art, this particular piece is actual fairly new, being a composite of two drawings scanned in a week ago, and a year ago.

The other pictures however will likely stretch far back into the obscurity of my highschool years (Now having access to a scanner and Gimp I can attempt to preserve them before the ink eats through the paper.)

I warn you.. some of them will be of rather low quality, but what are mistakes if I cannot analyze, laugh, and repair.

Something rather older (several years I think) and smaller here... some gremlins I think.

I particularly like the fountain pen/lamp/staff combo I gave one of them. Their heads look kind of flat however, needed shading.

I think I am getting the hang of Gimp too, Most of these pics were 10 MB or so when I scanned them, needed some serious resizing.

I started drawing figures with goblins, orcs, trolls and such because their cruder forms are so much more... forgiving of mistakes and un-smoothed lines.

No one complains if you make a goblin look ugly, hell I think that may be why we pay so much attention to the Dawblins. Their peculiar non-ugliness and even sexiness stands out starkly against our expectations of such a monster.

This piece makes me think about how much I hate hands and feet. I think I kind of gave up on the poor basket toting fellow near the back.

I think a pen burst on me while drawing this one in some class. I am fairly sure the words up top are some misc notes.

I like the detail of the dripping venom from the fangs' pores.

Hands, once again prove to be my bane as that staff looks like a toy in those hands. I think this character shows up again too... its a desert dwelling troll of some kind.

On another note feel free to add you own misc or quest type drawings to my thread... starting to feel lonely in here. Even a comment would be nice....

We 'do' need to work up some quest related artistic skills in the community to replace those we have lost or inadvertently driven away.

meep

The most versatile word in the English language, or in fact any language!

Can mean whatever you want it to mean, but the most popular uses are:
1. An exclamation akin to 'ouch' or 'uh oh..'
2. Filling in the blanks where other (rude) words would go.
3. A greeting! I personally say meep instead of Hello...
4. A random expression of happiness used to fill gaps in conversation.

Urbandictonary.com, does anyone actually use the word here?

Hey guys, staff here. We were thinking about changing tgchan's motto up. Currently, tgchan is... nothing like /tg/. At all. So, the current motto of "Like /tg/ but with more cutebolds!" doesn't... fit. We're planning to change it to something more appropriate to the focus of the board. Ie; something about questing.

The currently planned motto is: "tgchan - The internet's home for questing." Its solid, but boring. So we were wondering if you had any great ideas for us.

Thanks for the help!
