The mechanism is familiar enough that you can pick the lock; inside is an Interface device, a Welder / Cutter and a folded uniform. Having avoided the computerized alarm, you decide to use the Interface to break the passcode anyway. The flimsy data infrastructure lasts 9s against the processor.

There is a commotion at the door as you dress.

"Why is this locked .. Who's in there ?! HEY !!"

get the revolver and put the shades back on you look ridiculous without them

get a WEPON and say "depends on who's asking and why."

Grab the weapons and the rations (can you carry them all?) and equip the revolver.

Say that you're there and who wants to know? Keep the weapon ready.

Our full-on nerd can already do awesome things though. This place looks like it's heavily interfaced, and interfaces are our playthings. Do pick up weapons, but there's no need to get threatening right now. Just lock out whoever it's until we can find out more about the situation.

You listen for a reply. A hushed exchange begins on the other side. Among the exchange you can pick up "escaped .. one of the uniforms and weapons .. i don't know .." and the name 'Melissa' before there is loud pounding.

The most you can keep on you is the Revolver and Rifle. You're not going to twirl the revolver; it's huge, weighs 5C an- whoa you did it, plus the safety was off.

You shout, "Door won't open, I'm trapped !".
"Declare yourself !" This is getting nowhere.

You want to weld the door, but instead you finish dressing and ready your weapon.

"I'm not your enemy." At least it might gain us some time. Is there any other exit to this room? If there is, weld that doah with the guys yelling and escape through the other one.

If there's no other way to exit, well, let's wait for their anwswer to see if we have to murderize our way out or what.

use that chair or whatever as cover after you weld the door a little so they have to use a door buster. but only a little so that it overcompensates and they crash in and are disoriented.

this is a train car, right? exit through the other door, maybe.

get the door open, if it looks like trouble hurl a box out the door

Get out from behind the door! If they have guns, they can just shoot through it and kill you if they get suspicious! Take cover!

You keep low and lightly weld the container lid over the lock.

There are two exits, both locked. You take cover behind the seat. The rear door unlocks and a dressed canine enters.

"What in-"
A shot is fired and the weld is shattered as the door flies open. A dressed anteater holding a revolver enters.
"Hold your fire !!" The canine barks.
"Comrade, I .. the sus-"
".."

Suspect ?

The canine clenches his fists. The syllables come out slowly as he tries to recall who you are.

".. Ayu .. I don't -even- want to hear about it, just get to the ceremony."

You are Ayu. There is silence as the two guests send each other concerned looks; the anteater begins stepping back.

He's not telling you something. You sense frustration and caution from the two; they're not very good at hiding -a- security concern, but -what- and why you're not in it remains a mystery ..

Curiously, the canine seems to be waiting for the anteater to leave you two alone. The train slows to a stop.

Ask about the ceremony dramatically. whip your hair about and raise one to lower your shades just slightly.
