She throws herself up upon realization that she is in a completely different area.

"Where the hell am I?"

Rina is now wearing a patient medical gown, all her stuff is gone, and Glade is nowhere in sight.

"Is this a hospital?"

What should Rina do?

A hospital? I can't tell if this is a good place or a bad place for us to fight Darkness.

First, inspect yourself and take note of all injuries, then see if you can find a 'call nurse' button. Puuuuuush button. Don't get out of bed yet.

If there's no call nurse button then this probably isn't a hospital. In that case I would suggest getting up and looking at the stuff on the shelf next to the door. Leave the weird circle on the floor alone for now.

> Find Glade and/or masturbate.

Rina isn't sure she should pleasure herself until she knows where exactly she is and how many people are around! Also you'll have to be more specific rather than just say to "find Glade." Who knows how big this building is?

> Stand on the circle on the floor.

Rina stands on the circle which seems to have been drawn with the marker on the floor next to it.

Nothing happens.

> place your cheek against the circle

Feels cool and clean. Hardly any dust at all on the floor.

> inspect items on shelf first

The shelf holds a large bottle of painkillers, a small medkit with just some gauze inside, and a scalpel.

> then locate some pants. those hospital gowns are notoriously breezy.

The gown actually feels very comfy!

> What do you hear?

Nothing. It's too quiet.

Rina's leg is bandaged up properly now and is feeling a lot better. There are also bandages all over her face and one on her neck. She can feel more of them pretty much all over her body.

There is a "Call" button on a small table next to the bed. Rina presses it and a soft beep sounds.

Nope, it's definitely a television.

> Check your head. You have a large bandage on your forehead, and those shadow guys really like their head wounds.

From what Rina can feel, there is no huge gash or anything on her head. These must be lacerations she got from the flying splinters and glass in the house. What became of that house anyway? And how did she end up here?

Maybe she hasn't been out too long?

It's a black marker.

> Did you happen to see a clock anywhere? Knowing the time could be useful.

Nope, no clock around.

> Looks like a marker to me. I guess we can take it.

Rina takes the marker. It has a cap on the other end. She takes it off and reveals another tip that is colored a nice apricot.

> Hey, there's a small table next to the bed- does it have a drawer?

It doesn't have a drawer.

> You know, that looks like a shelf back there. Anything useful before we see what's out in the hallway?

Rina's already inspected the shelf! There's a bottle of pain pills, a small medkit with gauze and a scalpel.

> Maybe open the door and take a quick peek

Rina opens the door and finds a nurse on the other end, who was about to come in.

"Oh! Hello! Awake already? The doctor said you would be...but I didn't think so. Don't you think you should stay in bed?"

Say you just were in a forest cabin getting torn up from crazy wind trying to protect your friend a few minutes ago from your perspective, and now you're in a strange room in a city you don't recognize. You can't help but want to be up and figure out what's going on.
Or you had a really strange dream and awful nightmare of protecting a friend in a cabin getting blown to bits by crazy wind. Hard to tell, there were zombies in it and weird darkness possessing people like in a horror film, so you're going to vote nightmare. So ask her to please just tell you that you were found in a car crash or something and your memory is just really fuzzy, because you really can't handle the fact that all your friends just got murdered horror movie style.

You should be able to get all that off your chest without being considered crazy, because she'll think it was a nightmare. Trust me, admitting this stuff will give you some emotional relief, which is what you need since you suffered a lot of psyche damage. The worst you'll do to the nurse is maybe annoy her with the fact that a complete stranger is telling her about a dumb dream.

"I feel fine...I can walk around, but I have a pretty big headache. Could you tell me where Glade is? A she-wolf?"

"A she-wolf? Ah, yes. Was she your friend? I'm not sure where they've taken her. I do know she is under intensive care due to her injuries, but she should be fine, don't you worry," the nurse assures Rina. The vixen breathes a sigh of relief.

"Where am I?" Rina asks.

"You are in the Bell Shoals Hospital in the city of Locust Grove. You live here right?"

Locust Grove. Rina remembers that name, but has never been to the hospital.

"Yeah...I'm having a hard time remembering a lot of things."

"I understand. Why don't you lie down? I have some food here for you."

The smell of the food wafting in front of her reminds Rina that she has not had anything to eat in a long time. Her stomach moans as the feeling of hunger becomes familiar to her again.

"Could I have some aspirin too?" she asks. The nurse nods. "Of course. It'd be good to take one after you eat."

This is a very good thing, no matter what their intentions are with respect to you. Whatever's going on, they're well equipped to help keep things under control. They have far more relevant training and experience than you.

When you talk to them, it's important that they take the problem seriously. Ask if they saw the bodies. If so, then there's little to be lost in being completely honest and open with them; the wounds were extreme enough that at worst they'll think you've got PTSD or something.

However, if they haven't seen the bodies, emphasize that someone or something brutally murdered most of your group. Don't say anything about spirits and so on. They probably found the raccoon in the house with you; you can tell them he came at you and you defended yourself (if you lie instead, it'll probably come back to bite you), but if you do this be certain to mention that the killer spoke to you on the phone, or they might assume that the raccoon was responsible and that there's no longer any danger.

We should ask the nurse if she knows anything about the situation when you were accepted into the hospital. Tell her it was probably just a nightmare, but you DO remember your friend being badly injured. If the nurse doesn't know, ask for the doctor who was responsible for you.

"Could you tell me anything about the situation when I was accepted into the hospital?"

"Oh, well, I don't know all the details of that. I just know you're actually quite lucky to be alive let alone be awake so early! It's been at least a few hours since you came in."

"Could I speak to the doctor?"

"You'll speak to him eventually. Right now just relax and enjoy your meal, dear. I'll get your aspirin. I won't be gone for long." With that, the nurse leaves the room, closing the door behind her.

Rina sets the tray on her lap, surprised by how the food looks. As far as she knew hospitals didn't serve food this good.

On the plate there's rice, a salad, and what looks like nicely-cut pieces of beef. In the bowl is minestrone soup.

Aw nuts, we forgot to ask about a remote for the TV, and if that circle on the floor was there before.

Okay let's sum up:
1) We're not restrained and the medical kit has a weapon in it. They don't see us as an immediate threat.
2) The food is unusually good. This suggests that this hospital does not hold people that need easy-to-digest food, and also not a large quantity of people so that they need to mass-produce low quality meals. Possibly a government hospital?

Eat your food. If they wanted to drug you, they would've just used a needle while you were asleep.

1) That's not a hospital bed.

1) Curtains are beside the point. Hospital beds are frameworks that can be easily moved and adjusted, not bigass static mattresses like that.
2) The equipment is standard, even if it's not in use. No point moving it in and out of the room constantly, after all.
3) It should still have been in her field of view when she opened the door, unless she's got a serious case of tunnel vision.
4) Hard painkillers are required by law to have access restricted; they wouldn't be set out on the shelf like that.

Moving on: She said she wouldn't be gone for long. Hours counts as "long." Hit the call button. If she, or another nurse, doesn't show up within another minute or two after that, leave the room and go exploring; start by looking for a restroom, but then try to find a front desk or, better still, the police that wanted to speak with you. Also look for the front desk or anywhere else you can ask where Glade is.

She may be in short-term, non-intensive care, so there is no need for a gurney. Likely this is a place where hospitals are the standard issue doctoring facility, rather than private practices.

Now a scalpel makes a terrible weapon because while sharp it is neither heavy nor serrated. To fight effectively with it keep it fully clenched in your fist and swipe fast but very shallowly at your opponent, almost as if just to graze them with the blade. Aim for places where the flesh is tense, such as clenched biceps or under the throat. That will allow the scalpel to do the most possible damage at minimal risk of damaging or losing it.

Anyway, restrooms to your left. Have fun!

> go downstairs.

> restrooms to your left.

As Rina makes her way down the corridor, she sees rows of rooms that are labeled numbers in consecutive order to your own room. 404, 403, 402, and 401, which happens to be the stairwell door.

Rina enters the stairwell and goes down one flight of stairs. She is on the third floor. Should she go through the door or keep going down?

Hey, weird circle-thingy! Ignore the fuck out of it and head on down.

Looks like pills on the floor, too. Damn. Peek your head in the door. What do you see?

On the off-chance... try reaching your hand through the circle.

If you've still got that headache maybe you should take a pill.

I think we should at least look through the door.

Keep in mind guys we need to find Glade again.

Rina takes a peek through the third floor door but all she sees is a convoluted labyrinth of hallways.

> If you've still got that headache maybe you should take a pill.

Rina is not sure just how powerful this stuff is and whether or not it would actually help her or make things worse. Her headache hasn't gotten much worse so she isn't desperate enough to just start downing pills.

Rina goes down a level. Nothing unusual here. Should she go to the first floor or through the 2nd floor door?

Just take a look. We COULD keep going down and see if there's anyone on the first floor like at the reception desk or something.

going down to reception is probably your best bet

Perhaps these circles indicate a sort of path? Let us poke our heads into floor 2 before heading back to check floor 3 for more suspicious activity!

Rina takes a peek into the second floor door. Doesn't look like there's much going on here either? Where the hell is everyone?

That's just great.

Oh GREAT, we're in Silent Hill now. Go back up to the second floor and enter the door marked by the circle. We gotta find the room Glade's in.

What's that mark on the back of your neck? It wasn't there before.

Oh, actually come to think of it we should find a bathroom first. Shouldn't there be one on the first floor near the waiting room?

Yes. We all told you to go to your left, towards the restrooms originally. Is there some reason you did the opposite?

A box with multiple people in it without a seperator is usually the pictogram for "elevator".

"What the fuck is this?!" Rina rubs the back of her neck, feeling the slimy black protrusion poking out from it. Rina feels like she is about to be sick. Luckily there is a restroom nearby the reception desk! Rina rushes into it.
