> They're not going to pay any attention to the testimony of an apparent crazy person. You need to go back in there and corroborate his story—and ask, politely, if you can take a look at the box. Tell them you think it might jog your memory. I know you just want this all to be done with, but it's not yet, and running away from here and pretending otherwise will just let things get worse.
You're right. This can't just be ignored. Rina has to go in there and make it clear that Harry has genuine knowledge on the box and the killings.
She rushes back into the chief's office after letting Rasha and Glade know what has to be done. Thankfully he is still present and Rina tries to explain as slow as possible the things that Harry had mentioned to her and how it had connections to what happened back at the forest.
She mentions Harry's talk about the Darkness being contained in the box, some ritual, and everything else he spouted out. The chief listens, transfixed. He closes his eyes to digest the information.
"Rina, thank you for bringing this up, however, we must still detain Mr. Saunders. He is clearly mentally unstable and must be controlled. He has records of very grotesque murders that he confessed to. We know a bit of his history, but we are aware that a lot more is obscured, mostly because of his connection with an unfamiliar village. We're not sure where the village is located, and Mr. Saunders is not making it easy for us considering his disability to give us any more information, however, we will confront him with your words in mind and hopefully we can get something more out of him. The Locust Grove Sanitarium will be reopened very soon, and eventually we will have to send him back there, but that doesn't mean we won't just forget about him."
"Thank you, Sir. Also, is it alright if I could...just take a look at the box?"
"The box? Oh, yes. I don't see why not, but please do not take anything with you. We must analyze it thoroughly," the Chief says.
"Thank you." With that, Rina acquires directions to where the box is being held. She goes into a rather spacious room full of boxes, strange equipment she's never seen, and some other items. On top of a pile, Rina sees what looks to be the strange box. She takes it and for some reason starts to feel her heart pounding faster and faster. A pang of nervousness courses through her and she holds the box in her hands. She prepares to open it.
