[ A Couple Questions Regarding the Officers ]

They are not controlled by a single player directly. Each character is set up to have two officers. In addition to that they are responsible to take into account all suggestions for the character they are in charge of.

In the PM'd example of:
Say the Options are A, B, or C.
All of the suggestions are for A.
Officer chooses C.

This is not the job of the officer, and if this is the chosen action then there better be a strong argument for the character to have not chosen A.

The main purpose of the officers is to minimize the micromanaging necessary for a five player tabletop game set-up turned into a quest, as well as allowing both the officers to have a little direct control over their chosen characters while still allowing the normal reader/suggester to give their ideas for both the main Direct Protagonist as well as the Four Indirect Protagonists without their input being meaningless.

I hope this makes it a little more clear.

My old unfinished One Shot is running this week until it either finishes, or Friday night.

It's closing in on two years since I started Bubble Bucket. The first near 500 updates of the quest are things of the past I am not actually that proud of. Partially because I know I could have done way better than that, and the rest is because that much of the quest was done in about five months. The next seven months were spent (not) updating two chapters. That was the first year of the quest.
The last approximate year has been one chapter alone. I've been incredibly upset with myself at my inability to move it along quickly. The multiple panel updates were definitely the cause. Single panel updates are quick to finish now that I am back to them. I am glad so many people enjoyed them, but they're done with sans special moments.

I wanted to do a slightly belated celebration of getting past 700 updates, and finishing the largest section of chapter 13. I asked a few quest artist buddies if they'd be interested in doing a guest update for me. I was pretty excited that they participated. I'm very happy how it turned out.

This quest has come a very long way, so I must give a big thank you to all of my readers. I also have to thank the people who drew and finished Section 4. All of you captured the scenes and mood of the updates very well and I am proud and thankful of everyone.

Thank you all so much. Time for me to draw this chapter to a close!

Today marks the two year anniversary of Bubble Bucket starting.
I wish I had something special for everyone for the occasion, but I do not. I do have something 'big,' planned for the quest but I am not sure when that will happen.

Currently, I am in College. I have five classes, and 16 credit hours. This is a considerable amount of my time and focus. I would like to say I could devote more time into artwork, but things are not working out like that.

People keep asking me to resume Lilac as well.
I would love to set up a schedule or do sessions. If I do so, I will start next week.
Here are my plans:

Lilac: Update Monday and Thursday.
Bubble Bucket: Weekend Session.

Here's to one (hopefully) final year for Bubble Bucket.

Happy birthday! I don't post much, but your quest is really fun and exciting, with an interesting world and a lot of neat-looking species. I had a hard time catching up, but I liked all of it.

One complaint I have, though, is with that part where a bunch of events were all happening at once, with different people giving suggestions to different characters and all of them listed sequentially in each post with almost nothing to divide the paragraphs. That was chaotic and slightly annoying to read. Then again, it would have been even longer if you hadn't done that, so maybe it was for the best.

While I agree they were chaotic and tedious, I did hard return separate time-lines and use italics to establish the point of view changed consistently after a point.

I also agree that it would have taken an incredible amount more time if I hadn't done it. I don't think I'd do it again though.
I try a lot of different things as I move along with the quest. I've learned a lot of good things, but I've totally made a lot of mistakes along the way.

I have finals December 12-16. Which means I have 7 exams, a speech, and an essay to do. Which is further deepened by my next quest update being a flash animation.
(After the flash there will be a couple normal updates and then a flash to close the chapter).

At the very latest I will see everyone for the shark charity drive the day after my exams!

Now that shark stream is over all of my time will be devoted to either commissions or working on the flash(es) for Bubble Bucket. That time I asked for assistance for flash a long time ago--after I get some sleep would be the start. I am new to it.

Oh wow! I honestly thought this current semester was going to be a lot lighter in terms of work, but I was wrong. My finals are the start of May. Once my finals are over, I am moving out to my new home.

By May 15th, I will be returning to questing full time.
